Cars for mom Part 3 - Ford Fiesta

Ford Fiesta - wins women world cars in 2013

guide price: $13000-18600

A panel of female automotive writers has chosen the Ford Fiesta 1.0- liter EcoBoost as the Women's World Car of the Year, and it beat tough competition like the Mazda CX-5, Range Rover and Porsche Boxster S for the overall top spot.

The Fiesta was praised by the panel for being a jack of all trades – judges described it as being stylish, fuel-efficient, fun to drive and technologically advanced – and having good value for the money, important factors that helped it beat the competition.

Therefore, woman are drawn to the new Ford Fiesta because of its bold new look, award-winning engine and easy-to-understand controls.

Redefine

According to Ford Philippines, the new Fiesta is poised to again redefine the small car segment with its exciting new bold design, segment-leading fuel economy, class-leading safety features and all-new smart technologies, including Ford SYNC.

Starting August, eight new class-leading Fiesta variants will be available to customers at Ford showrooms nationwide featuring the 1.5L Ti-VCT engine, in both automatic and manual transmissions.

The new five-door Fiesta Sport+ with the patented 1.0L EcoBoost engine, which was recently named the 2013 International Engine of the Year (winning the award for the second consecutive year), will be available to customers later in the year.

Ford’s 1.0L EcoBoost engine delivers 123 horsepower and produces 99 g/km CO2 as part of a class-leading lineup of seven Fiesta engines that deliver sub-100 g/km CO2 emissions.
